Photoshop and Premiere Elements...and Flash technology

Postby Gare on Fri Nov 17, 2006 2:19 pm

For Photoshop users, we sometimes think of Photoshop Elements as the "toy version", but it's really not--it's nearly as capable as Photoshop, and this "Elements" stuff has gotten Adobe Systems to release a version of Premiere I just looked at, and the program is awesome for home video editing and quick compilations!

Adobe is offering the Photoshop+Premiere Elements latest versions as a bundle for $150. Premiere Elements 3 is stable, mature, fast, and has some features you'd find in After Effects. Everything is drag and drop, you can scrub the timeline in the main window, titling, nice transitions, sharpening...Premiere Elements is going to kill Corel's recently acquired ULead VStudio--the two go head to head, 99% of the features.

So if you have a digital camera, chances are it takes short movie clips, and Premiere Elements is your ticket to assembling your clips, adding music and burning a DVD from within the program.

This bundle should be a hit for a holiday gift (to yourself, naturally). Yikes; I know of some plug-ins that cost more than $150!

My Best,

Gare

To get Flash to display in forum posts you have to first attach the file and post the message.  Then right click on the inline html link to the flash file next to the paperclip at the bottom of the post and copy the link address. The address of the file will look something like this -- index.php?action=dlattach;topic=96.0;attach=225

Click on the  post's Modify button.
Insert your cursor where your want the Flash to appear and then click on the Insert Flash button which is the first icon on the row just above the emoticons.
Enter the path to the Flash file you want to display between the two Flash codes. Edit numbers the flash=200,200 in the first code to correspond to the width and height of your Flash file.

The code to insert the Flash file in this post looks like this--

Code: Select all
[flash=440,220]http://theboutons.com/forum/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=96.0;attach=225[/flash]

Save the modified post and Enjoy!
