You can follow the preceding steps several times to further distort the pinwheel gradient fill. Press Ctrl(Cmd)+F to apply the last-used filter. Also, before the fill has been distorted to the point of disintegration, try pressing Ctrl(Cmd)+Alt(Opt)+F to access the Polar Coordinates dialog box without applying the filter, and then click on the Rectangular to Polar setting. All progressive filter applications move the image content farther from the original, but switching Polar Coordinate settings tends to "freshen" the resulting image, with novel twists and bends, to a pattern that becomes static after many filter applications.
